Sorry if this post was offensive to some - that was not the intent. Perhaps I should've said "attractive bethelites."
00Dad: Umm, its not that deep..............
i occasionally recollect over some of the female bethelites - especially the hot ones.
i was there in the 90s, when the commuter program was in full swing and sisters would sign up as commuters often to snage a full-time bethelite.
anyone remember the wiggins sisters?

There were 3 of them who got quite a bit of attention from regular staff. In the infirmary you had the lovely Nicolette - who I wonder whatever became of.
On the married tip, there were a few bethelites with fine wives. I remember Preston Griffin's wife (who everyone said looked like Halle Berry). She couldn't wait to get out the madhouse and was able to by getting pregnant.
Any hot bethel chicks you remember - what say you??!!
i often times wonder what happened to certain bethelites that i ran around with during my 1990s tenure there.
while there are still a few left there, the greater majority of them aren't there for various reasons (marriage, disillusionment, left the borg, etc).
a couple of cats i wonder about - there was one brother who i believe was from kansas, who got his fingers cut off in a printing press.
this goes back up!
one of the issues that i discovered when i took two years off from the jws to just study the bible is the contents of the modern bible do not even come close to matching the contents of the holy books that the first christians used.
not even close.
off by over 550 books.. now, the jws claim that the catholic church is false religion.
I always framed a lot of the decisions made at the Council of Nicea regarding the bible books as akin to a looooong extended JWs elders meeting, where decisions are arbitrary and random as hell and rife with a lotta personal politics and agendas.
i haven't had the opportunity to research this deeply, but i've heard many critics/scholars assert that the bible is nothing more than plaigiarisms from ancient sumerian/edyptian texts (which i can definitely believe).
those texts have flood legends, genesis account, and various other stories that make their appearance in the bible.
i'd love to go into this rabbit hole and hope some of the scholarly minds here on jwn will guide me to some info on this.

Thanks in advance! Love this net thang and the opportunity to expand my mind!!
what proof is there that jesus inspected all the religions or the earth in 1919 and then chose the bible students?.
just because the watchtower says in its literature that they were chosen is not proof!.
Good thread! This goes UP!

Wow! Great thread! And the rabbit holes gets deeper! I knew there had been excluded bible books. Didn't know they numbered 600. I've always felt that its was IRONIC that the Catholic Church chose which books would make up the bible, but JWs regard them as part of Babylon the Great. Great irony, indeed!
I guess my only thing with these other books is this - I contend that the bible is made up of fictional stories. Do these lost books continue to perpetuate the fictional stories? Are any of them grounded in real history and historical records?
Wonderful thread and this goes UP! Hope some more of the top minds here on JWN chime in on this one!

Informative link, Blondie. Thanks!!
i was at bethel from 94-96 the person i am looking for came about 95-96 he left to get married 8/96.

if you read my bio you will know who i am (hint we went to the same hall.
Yeah, still looking 4 him 2.............
i was reading a thread about how the universe with its billions of galaxies and stars, is basically on hold while we wait for this lil issue of universal sovernty to be solved.
then i got to thinking, even if armegedon came this year and wiped satan out...we still have to wait on his appeal.
when you think about it the thousand year reign is essentially satan sitting on death row waiting while his lawyers work out and exhaust his appeal options.
Good thread! It's something Satan gets to 'appeal' his sentence, but what about those billions who will supposedly be slaughtered at Armageddon? Seems like a warped sense of justice.
